Winningwithwine.com is a free site with advice and information ranging from how wine is made to Nielsen statistics on UK wine sales and Accolade’s Wine Nation consumer insights.
It also has a tool which allows retailers to put in their postcode and find out what types of wine consumers live closest to them.
Most of the site is open to anyone, but retailers can sign up to order free POS for Accolade’s brands and enter a prize draw for £1,000 of stock.
European marketing director Clare Griffiths said: “With close to 40,000 licensed convenience stores and just over 20,000 unaffiliated independents, building a working relationship with all of our retailers has previously been a challenge. Our website now allows us to potentially reach all of these retailers in a clear, efficient and educational way, which will in turn create a stronger relationship between our brands and their customers.
“It is the first website of its kind in the wine market. We recognise the independent sector is critical to the success of the wine category, and we want to help them to drive their wine sales through education, clear understanding of what the consumer wants and how we can make their fixture look better at the point of purchase.”
