Jacob's Creek launches Cool Harvest

02 December, 2011

Jacob’s Creek has created a range of wines made from cool-climate regions and targeted at women.

Jacob’s Creek Cool Harvest comprises a Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz rosé and a Vermentino.

The range will be available in the on and off-trades from February, rrp £8.49.

Australian actress Naomi Watts, who is Jacob’s Creek’s new brand ambassador, will be working with the brand on digital, print and PR activities themed around “embracing true friendships”.

Simon Thomas, deputy managing director for Pernod Ricard UK, said: “Our Cool Harvest range represents an exciting opportunity for the brand as we look to drive the light and fresh market in the UK.

“We are constantly looking to innovate and our partnership with Naomi Watts demonstrates the fresh approach we are bringing to this campaign. We feel we have the perfect ambassador for the Cool Harvest range – someone who resonates with our target market and who can genuinely talk to the campaign platform of ‘embracing true friendships’.”

Winemaker Rebekah Richardson said: “The entire winemaking process for Cool Harvest is focused on maximising freshness, crispness and vibrancy.

“Harvesting grapes at night is critical because the cooler conditions ensure all the crisp, fresh fruit flavours and the delicate aromas that we see in vineyard are captured in the finished wines.”
