Martell to give away a house

27 July, 2011

Martell Cognac is giving consumers the chance to win a house in the region in an on-pack promotion.

The family home is valued at £200,000 and the competition is featuring on 35cl, 70cl and 1-litre bottles of Martell VS from August.

The prize includes handling all of the paperwork involved in buying a property abroad.

James Robinson, senior brand manager for Martell at Pernod Ricard UK, said: “Martell an iconic Cognac brand that embraces both its heritage and the contemporary styles preferred by today’s Cognac drinker.

“This neck tag promotion will drive rate of sale by creating increased stand-out on shelf, while reinforcing Martell’s French heritage and quality credentials.”

Do anything too regularly and it soon becomes a chore. Stop sniggering at the back. It’s as true for wine tasting as it is for data entry. I know, poor us. Try telling anyone with a normal job how unlucky we are and I doubt you’ll get much sympathy, but the fact remains that there are thousands of different wines and most of them taste pretty average.
