Barwell & Jones to take Morandé agency

25 July, 2011

Barwell & Jones is to handle UK distribution of Chile’s Viña Morandé wine brand from July 25.

It will take over the agency from Bottle Green.

B&J’s sister company Coe Vintners already distributes Morandé’s Santa Puerta range.

The addition gives B&J a range of wines from South America that covers Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.

Marketing manager Fiona Juby said: "We are familiar with the wines and believe that the company has great potential in the UK market with both its premium and competitively-priced ranges.”

Morandé chief executive Matias Elton added: “We thank the whole team at Bottle Green for helping us build the business in the UK market.”
