New TV ad for Strongbow

A new TV ad for Strongbow will break on Monday and run for the rest of the year.

The commercial in the latest in the Hard Graft series which positions the cider brand as reward for a hard day’s work.

Lucy Henderson, brand manager at Heineken UK, said: “We wanted to continue the epic film theme from our previous ads, but introduce more narrative and show the men earning their reward as well as enjoying it.”

The ad follows a Facebook campaign in January in which consumers were invited to rewrite a line in the new ad’s script.

Looking back to look forward

Wine is a liquid time capsule. Drinking older vintages not only recalls the weather conditions and winemaking styles of the past, it encourages us to reflect upon our own histories. Such reminiscence often inclines towards romanticised nostalgia. Especially after the second bottle. But looking back is a great way of learning about the future.
