Marston's is sponsoring Sky Sports' coverage of the World 20-20 Championship in cricket. The deal includes branding on Sky's advertising for the event as well as the usual break bumpers and sponsorship credits during matches. The tournament ends on Monday.

Wiltshire brewer Wadworth is to launch a bottled version of its Horizon cask beer brand, which has been a hit with drinkers in the on-trade since it was launched in July. Marketing manager Paul Sullivan said: "There has been an excellent response from customers. We are 39 per cent ahead of our target and our sales are running at over 100 barrels since the launch."

The 4 per cent abv golden ale is made with 100 per cent pale ale malt and a mix of Fuggles, Styrian Goldings and Cascade hops.Wadworth showcased the beer at the Cropredy festival in Oxfordshire in August.

Bargain Booze franchisee Eddie Wright, of Stoke, has won a holiday in Jamaica in a Red Stripe promotion in the chain. Red Stripe supplier Wells & Young's ran the promotion as part of a consumer campaign that gave Bargain Booze customers the chance to win iPod Nanos and vintage Red Stripe T-shirts.

The 35th edition of the Good Beer Guide had been published by Camra. The guide features 4,500 pubs that serve some of the best beer in Britain, as judged by the organisation's 87,000 members.

St Austell Brewery's Tribute ale brand has signed a three-year deal to sponsor 14 rugby union leagues across south west England. The brewer will supply branded equipment including rugby kit, match balls and water bottles, and support the individual rugby clubs' social events. The sponsorship will be advertised in regional newspapers.
