Offer customers what they want, when they want it and how they want it. Retailers' ranges are being driven by supplier negotiations not by customer requirements. Simple ranges with a value offering will deliver growth. As an industry both suppliers and retailers can help innovation - suppliers need to challenge themselves more to come up with more innovation and retailers should try and support NPD wherever possible.

The reasons Donald Trump should not be left in charge of a shopping trolley, let alone the keys to the White House, are plentiful and well-documented – from his use of the word “bigly” and lamentable business legacy to his dubious post-modern feminist principles, quite astonishing lack of political acumen and, most worrying of all, his bewildering hair.
