Novelty chocolates sweeten displays

05 October, 2007

Hancocks Cash & Carry has launched a selection of Belgian chocolate novelties as part of its push to

provide retailers with profitable and unique Christmas ranges.

Chocolate bears, cars and handbags are all available in a mixed case, retailing at £2.49 each and offering a 41 per cent margin to retailers,

said purchasing director Richard Brittle.

Also in the range is a 25cm tall, 600g Belgian chocolate snowman with a price tag of £9.99.

"These fun novelties are

eye-catching and would help even the smallest retailer to develop a creative and interesting display . In the run-up to Christmas, consumers are generally looking for a wide variety of small gifts for all manner of people, and these unique products will really hit the mark," Brittle said.
