Sainsbury's has reorganised its BWS team as part of a three-year growth plan.
Four buyers - Fiona Bayley, Jane O'Connor (née Hughes), Rachael Icke and Trish Penn - will
transfer to roles outside BWS
"as a result of their achievements", said the supermarket.
Former spirits buyer Bayley becomes buyer for detergents, while former wine category manager O'Connor is category planner for floral. Icke, who joined
in March from Constellation, becomes category planner for grocery. Penn was responsible for buying PBAs, cider and stout. Her new job title had not been confirmed as OLN went to press.
Melissa Draycott, formerly senior wine buyer for Champagne, sparkling wine and fortified, moves to a new role of category range planner.
The supermarket is looking to fill two category assistant vacancies.
A spokeswoman said the changes were prompted by the supermarket "looking at better ways of working within the business. These include simpler and clearer operational processes".
