What the OLN imbibers have been sampling this week

Beachy Head Brewery ale,

5.1% abv

A smooth, understated and well-balanced brew from this new East Sussex micro. With its gentle flavours and restrained hop bitterness, it's not as dramatic as the cliffs it's named after but it's perhaps as serene as the

South Downs countryside. GH

Cains Organic Wheat Beer, 4% abv

Part of Cains' organic offering and a fantastic seasonal beer: spicy notes on the palate with a lingering wheaty flavour, a rich ruby colour and complex on the nose. BR

Herrljunga Swedish Apple Cider,

4.5% abv

Swedish cider - yes, you heard right - and this sweet concoction is long and smooth on the palate with a hint of gooseberry. It would happily marry up with a strong double Gloucester cheese. BR
