Singha starts year of celebrations

19 October, 2007

Thai beer Singha is celebrating 30 years in the UK with an ad campaign on London buses, taxis, Underground and train stations.

The campaign, which carries the strapline Singha Beer, the Original Thai Beer, Loved in England Since 1977, is just the start of 12 months of celebrating the beer's anniversary.

Singha has been brewed and bottled in Thailand since 1933 and first hit British shelves in 1977. The company said it has grown sales by 30 per cent year on year for the past five years.
