Green & Black's is rolling out a Christmas gift range. After Dinner is a collection of dark, milk and white Mint Chocolate Leaves with mint truffle centres, and Chocolate Squares are a variety of individually wrapped Green & Black's dark, 70 per cent, milk and white chocolate (rrp £4.99). Also in the range is The Assortment and The Prestige Assortment, featuring dark, milk and white chocolates (rrp £7.99 and £14.99).

British chocolatier Marc Dermarquette has teamed up with Japanese sake producer Isaké to create a range of luxury handmade chocolates. Isaké Sugidama contains Isaké's Premium Red Sake and is hand-painted by Demarquette .

Sunkist has announced its entire portfolio is now free from artificial colours and flavours in response to consumer demand for healthier drinks. Sunshine Orange will also be available in a 6-pack from this month.

Pringles is offering a buy one get one free promotion on 230g packs. It is also running an X Factor-style tour of stores where consumers can record songs in a portable booth. The Jingles for Pringles promotion will reward consumers with gift bags .

Cadbury is launching a 29p on-pack price promotion. From Nov 5 for a limited time, single bars of Cadbury Crunchie, Cadbury Double Decker and Cadbury Boost will be price-marked at 29p, with retailers receiving four free bars in every outer.

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
