Get lusciously saucy in the freezer cabinet
Published:  19 October, 2007

Stratford Fine Foods has launched a range of premium ice cream sauces designed to be sold straight from the freezer. Layla's Luscious Ice Cream Sauces come in Chocolate Fudge and Butterscotch flavours. Each 100g pot contains two servings of sauce, with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

Managing director Ed Gladwin said: "These luxury sauces have that great homemade taste but without the hassle. Consumers simply pop the frozen pots into the microwave and then pour the contents over their favourite ice cream. By placing the pots in the freezer, right next to the ice cream, retailers can encourage consumers to make an extra purchase and put extra cash through their tills."

Pots have a 12-month shelf life and will retail for £1.49. A case of 12 is available to retailers for £13.41.

English wine: a happy harvest for Christmas

Half an hour later they’re crawling over muddy clods with lacerated hands, drenched in claggy juice and cold sweat, as if ploughing through an endurance race.
