Trading restructure

Landmark Wholesale has announced a major restructuring of its trading department. Four senior trading controllers will be appointed, with each

managing a key development area . Two of these positions have already been filled by Jon Burton and Jim Brown from within the existing trading team. Landmark is also looking to appoint a trader responsible for grocery to replace Mike Nemeth, who

died earlier this year.

Allure of chocolate

Constellation Europe is launching a chocolate liqueur in a bid to attract consumers back into the declining cream liqueur market. Aimed at women aged 25 to 35, Choc Amoré has 14.5 per cent abv and will be supported by PR activity, in-store POS and a nationwide sampling campaign, as well as featuring in Somerfield's Christmas TV ad.

Spanish food fest

Food and drink show Alimentaria will take place from March 10-14 2008 at Fira Barcelona in Spain. Around 85 per cent of the Spanish food and drink industry will be exhibiting. Spanish wines will feature in the Vinorum exhibition, and oils, cheeses and other Spanish foods will also be on show. More information at

Duggan joins Concha & Toro

Concha & Toro UK has appointed Jason Duggan head of marketing. Duggan has 11 years in both sales and marketing for Gallo in the UK market and, more recently, in Europe. Duggan said: "I'll be looking to pull together all the hard work that's been done in terms of sales and distribution and to develop the marketing strategy to create a strong consumer pull to drive brand awareness, loyalty and growth across the board."

Rosemount sponsors BAFTAs

Rosemount Wines is to sponsor next year's BAFTA Film Awards as part of a link-up between the brand and film. The Australian

brand, relaunched last November in a diamond-footed bottle, will sponsor the film awards next February and the BAFTA TV Awards in May. It is also an associate sponsor and the official wine of The Times BFI London Film Festival, which runs until Nov 1. Ads

will also appear in Picturehouse cinemas during November.

Jarman for Seckford

Seckford Agencies has appointed Mark Jarman business development director. Jarman was most recently UK business manager for Cumulus Wines, and has also worked for Waverley TBS, Thresher, Somerfield and Safeway.

Greene King promise for rugby

Greene King IPA, the official beer of England Rugby, will grant English squad members the key to the Greene King brewery in Bury St Edmunds if they defeat South Africa on Saturday to retain the Rugby World Cup.

Hofmeister may need more than the bear essentials to succeed
