Moreno Wines has been appointed UK agent for Prosecco producer Mionetto. Produced in Valdobbiadene, the portfolio includes the traditional range of Frizzante and Spumante as well the new premium wine range, Sergio. Alex Canetti, Moreno Wines' sales and marketing director, said: "They have a great range which will enable us to offer something to every sector of the market."
Chateau Lagrézette owner Alain Dominique Perrin has chosen his daughter, Julie, to design the bottle label for the 2004 vintage. Tradition is that each year a new artist is chosen to create the label and Julie is an established artist in England and France. The wine was recently released in the UK and is now on sale in Nicolas and Laithwaites with an rrp of £14.99.
Laurent-Perrier is warning retailers to be on the look-out for suspect Champagne following a theft of its Cuvée Rosé Brut. A container of the Champagne was stolen from Tilbury Port in Essex in the early hours of Oct 17.
