chairman Edward Demery will retire in December after 40 years with the company.
Demery joined the fine wine merchant in 1967 and played a major part in its move into Asia in the 1980s. He took on the role of managing director in 1993 before becoming non-executive chairman in 2002.
Appointed Clerk of the Royal Cellars in 1992, Demery was made a commander of the Royal Victorian Order in the New Year's Honours List in 2005 in recognition of his services to the royal household.
Current managing director Nick Hyde described Demery's career in the wine trade as "truly remarkable".
"His encouragement of a new generation of Justerini & Brooks staff has been unstinting and I'm delighted that Edward has every intention of remaining a passionate ambassador for us following his retirement," Hyde added.
