Major campaign for cava

Cava producer Freixenet is rolling out a TV and web advertising campaign for its flagship range, Cordon Negro. The campaign, Unplan The Moment, features a 30-second TV ad, airing on more than 25 digital channels, including E4, Film 4, Sky Movies and Five Live. The online campaign will focus on MSN and Handbag.com websites to target the female market.

Lucky number seven

Seven Singha Beer-branded taxis lined up outside the Thai embassy in London alongside seven taxis advertising the Tourism Authority of Thailand and seven advertising Thai Airways International, to celebrate the opening of the World Travel Market at ExCel this week. The stunt aimed to raise awareness of Thailand and promote Thai trade .

Nash for InterContinental

InterContinental Brands, producer of St Helier cider, has appointed Andy Nash

non-executive chairman. Nash, who played an integral role in the successful turnaround and flotation of Taunton Cider, joins from Merrydown.

Looking back to look forward

Wine is a liquid time capsule. Drinking older vintages not only recalls the weather conditions and winemaking styles of the past, it encourages us to reflect upon our own histories. Such reminiscence often inclines towards romanticised nostalgia. Especially after the second bottle. But looking back is a great way of learning about the future.
