Which sparkling wine brands do customers know best?

Champagne house Moët & Chandon tops the list of sparkling wine brand awareness among regular UK wine drinkers. According to new research conducted by Wine Intelligence, eight in 10 wine drinkers are aware of the Moët & Chandon brand and 20 per cen t

have bought it in the past

six months. Dom Pérignon is known by three-quarters of wine drinkers and 6 per cent of them claim to have bought it recently. Martini Asti has the second highest penetration rate with 12 per cent of UK wine drinkers having bought it in the past six months.

Looking back to look forward

Wine is a liquid time capsule. Drinking older vintages not only recalls the weather conditions and winemaking styles of the past, it encourages us to reflect upon our own histories. Such reminiscence often inclines towards romanticised nostalgia. Especially after the second bottle. But looking back is a great way of learning about the future.
