Advisers trained by the cash and carry operator's wine buyer Fabrizio Di Pietro have already started in Manchester, Rayleigh, Chester, Glasgow, Charlton, Leeds and Birmingham .
The introduction of wine advis ers is part of the wholesaler's plans to provide a more specialist service for customers.
A refurbishment programme
is being rolled out to the group's other 29 stores. Improvements will include clearer signage
and a revamped website.
