Roaring Meg is handcrafted by one of the UK's few female brewers in the village of Sutton -on -Trent, Nottinghamshire. Springhead Brewery began life as the smallest microbrewery in England in 1990 and has grown from a 2.5 to a 50-barrel plant. Named after a cannon used in the English Civil War, Roaring Meg has a strong following and demand from fans prompted Springhead to release Roaring Meg as its first bottled beer.
