Industry-leading figures head World Whiskies Conference

08 February, 2008

Speakers for

this year's World Whiskies Conference have been announced.

Designed to help those in the industry to meet the sales, marketing and production challenges of the global whisky business, the

conference is to be held in Glasgow on April 15

and 16.

It brings together speakers from senior executives in industry-leading companies including Diageo, Beam Global

and William Grant & Sons, as well as independents such as Whyte & Mackay, researchers, analysts and marketing gurus.

Delegates will look at a range of issues including luxury marketing, trends in future consumer behaviour, opportunities in developing markets, what retailers want and the secrets of brand development.

Now in its second year, the

conference has become an important arena of debate and networking for the world's thriving whisky industry.

Off Licence News will be

at the event as one of

its sponsors, and its sister publication, Drinks International, has teamed up with the Waste & Resources Action Programme to unveil a major new development in glass technology with a

major whisky distiller.
