First Drinks Brands plans sales push for Three Barrels

First Drinks Brands is looking to drive sales of Three Barrels Rare Old French Brandy with new packaging and a marketing campaign.

Existing drinkers will be targeted as well as new ones through a series of in-store promotions, PR and direct mail.

Three Barrels' master blender Bertrand Auriol will send 55,000 consumers a message asking them to enter a competition to become the Three Barrels brand ambassador in the UK.

Harriet Knight, brand manager for Three Barrels at First Drinks Brands, said: “With over one million loyal consumers, Three Barrels is already driving the brandy sector with its unique combination of product quality, customer and consumer insight and marketing investment. These activities will communicate the brand’s accessibility and we’re confident that this approach will drive sales and profits for the trade.”

Looking back to look forward

Wine is a liquid time capsule. Drinking older vintages not only recalls the weather conditions and winemaking styles of the past, it encourages us to reflect upon our own histories. Such reminiscence often inclines towards romanticised nostalgia. Especially after the second bottle. But looking back is a great way of learning about the future.
