First TV appearance for Red Stripe

Ads for Jamaican lager Red Stripe are to appear on TV for the first time.

The beer brand has signed a £500,000 deal to sponsor music programme Rockfeedback Presents on Channel 4 for the next six weeks.

Ads will also top and tail the second series of the Saturday show when it airs in the autumn.

The TV sponsorship follows the news that Red Stripe will be the headline

sponsor of two UK grass-roots music festivals this year – Camden Crawl and The Great Escape.

English wine: a happy harvest for Christmas

All across England and Wales, vineyards are being harvested. Down winding country lanes come armies of welly-wearing conscripts wielding secateurs and buckets, ready to reap the rewards of our vines. Happily they come, their cheeks ruddy with pride. Half an hour later they’re crawling over muddy clods with lacerated hands, drenched in claggy juice and cold sweat, as if ploughing through an endurance race.
