Visitors to next month's London International Wine Fair will be able to taste chocolate as well as wine at the Montilla Pedro Ximénez stand.
Montilla producers will be using the fair at London's Excel centre to launch the Montilla PX 2008 UK campaign and have devised a series of Montilla Bites PX and chocolate matching seminars to educate visitors on the best way to sell and serve the wines.
Sarah Jane Evans MW of the Academy of Chocolate has created five combinations which match the sweet wines with single origin chocolates, ganaches and truffles. Fifteen minute tutorials will then be hosted by Peter McCombie MW.
Maria Alvear, spokesperson for the Montilla PX campaign said: "Research shows that education is paramount to our campaign. Montilla PX wines are not as well-known in markets such as the United States where Montilla PX is already highly rated.
"We now want to dedicate time to explain Montilla to the UK market and make sure that our wines are discovered and enjoyed here too."
The Montilla PX campaign which aims to promote the range of sweet wines from the Spanish region will launch at the LIWF from May 20-22 at stand Q68.
