range of Chilean wine as part of its
£4.8 million investment in the UK market.
Viña Zamporia is made in the Coquimbo region, Chile's most northerly wine-producing area, and bottled at ZGM's
premises in Germany.
The wines are a 2007 Sauvignon Blanc, and Carmenère and Shiraz, both from the 2006 vintage.
All the wines have an rrp of £6.99.
Steve Howard, managing director of ZGM UK, said: "Chilean wine is growing in both volume and value in the UK and Viña Zamporia is a range of high quality wines designed to fulfil this demand.
"The hot days and cool nights in the Coquimbo region provide the perfect conditions for developing good sugar, tannin and aroma in the grapes."
ZGM recently launched Palatium, a German Pinot Blanc, in the UK and will
wines from France, Spain and California later in the year.
