Waitrose is listing Wainwright Ale, produced by the Lancashire brewer Daniel Thwaites. The bottled beer has been brewed to celebrate the county's famous walking legend Alfred Wainwright.

Aston Manor's Frosty Jack's cider has signed a deal to sponsor MTV's Fur TV comedy puppet show,

along with four forthcoming comedy programmes on ITV2. The ITV2 package kicks off with Keith Lemon's Very Brilliant World Tour.

A new ad campaign informing consumers that Cobra lager is "now in pubs" has been launched. The campaign will be in cinemas, newspapers and on posters in major cites and the London Underground. TV ads will follow later in the year. Marketing director Will Ghali said: "Our thinking is that consumers will try Cobra in pubs and then consider it when buying in the off-trade."

A gift pack containing a 75cl -bottle of Palm Hergist beer from Belgium and a branded glass is being listed by Tesco during its beer festival,

that runs from May 28 to June 15. The pack is being supplied by Fullback Imports.

Day gift pack containing two bottles of Alnwick IPA, a wedge of cheese, some oatcakes, olives and nuts has been produced by Butler & Leitch. The company specialises in gift boxes featuring Northumbrian food products.

Guinness is being backed by a five-week print ad campaign in newspapers including the Times, Guardian and Observer. The Taste campaign will receive a £2.5 million spend from brand owner Diageo.
