Sales support recruited by Jygsaw

Jygsaw Brands has brought in SHS Sales & Marketing to support a sales drive on the portfolio of brands it is managing for Scottish & Newcastle.

The company will work across off and on-trade channels to build sales of ­McEwan's, Newcastle Brown, Youngers, Newcastle Exhibition, Woodpecker and Scrumpy Jack.

Jygsaw managing director Simon Brown said: "SHS's flexible and dynamic approach to sales allows us to target the areas where we most need support.

"While all current customer arrangements will remain the same, SHS will be providing incremental sales and marketing resource."

Peter Butler, managing director of SHS, added: "This illustrates how big-name brands are now looking to sales and marketing agencies to add value to their business."

Looking back to look forward

Wine is a liquid time capsule. Drinking older vintages not only recalls the weather conditions and winemaking styles of the past, it encourages us to reflect upon our own histories. Such reminiscence often inclines towards romanticised nostalgia. Especially after the second bottle. But looking back is a great way of learning about the future.
