Heidsieck shows market bubbling

27 June, 2008

Charles Heidsieck has added a non-vintage rosé Champagne to its range.

The new Rosé Reserve fizz will be available exclusively as the Champagne of the Month for June at London's Ritz hotel, before going national.

The off-trade guide price is £40 a bottle.

Janette Peat, brand manager at distributor Maxxium UK, said: "The

UK Champagne market is definitely on a high at the moment, with sales of premium Champagne up 8% over the past two years.

"We expect Rosé Reserve to be a big hit this summer as consumer demand for rosé Champagne increases, having grown to take 8% of the market."
