Landmark Keane on own-label cider

Cash and carry chain Landmark Wholesale has launched an own-label over-ice cider to retail at £1.39 for

a pint bottle.

Keane's has 4.5% abv and aims to give Landmark's independent retailer members an own-label alternative to brands such as Magners, Bulmers Original and Maguires.

Managing director Martin Williams said: "The cider market in general has experienced a resurgence in popularity, thanks to the introduction of over-ice brands such as Magners and Bulmers. We saw a gap in the market to produce our own-brand version, providing independent retailers with an important point of difference in this category."

Landmark retailer Geeta Doal, of Doal's Food & News said: "The premium cider market is extremely popular with our customers, and it's great that we can now add an own-brand version to our range. As Keane's is exclusive to Landmark retailers, it will help differentiate us from our competition."
