Broadland creates Belgars brand

27 June, 2008

Broadland Wineries, which contract-makes and bottles fruit wine and perry for trade customers, is entering the branded drinks market in its own right.

The Norfolk-based company has created Belgars, an umbrella brand for perry and made wines.

The first product is a 7.5% abv 3-litre bag-in-box medium dry perry.

It will be distributed through Bottle Green and have an rrp of £5.

It is being targeted at the summer and barbecue markets, said the company.

Sales manager David Thornhill said: "We have successfully made and bottled many wines and perries for our customers and felt the market was ready for a

standalone Broadland product."
