Russian Standard hits the big screen

Russian Standard vodka is raising its profile further in the UK market with its first ever cinema advertising campaign.

The brand has already been seen on TV screens after its launch in the UK last year and the move into cinema emphasises the determination of Russian billionaire banking tycoon Roustam Tariko to make a success of his vodka in a market dominated by Smirnoff.

The cinema ad is a reworked cut of the TV ad shot by Michael Haussman, who has directed music videos for artists including Madonna, Kanye West and Jennifer Lopez.

The campaign will be seen through the remainder of July and August, with a high level of activity around the new Batman film,

The Dark Knight.

Andy Corris, senior brand manager at First Drinks Brands, said: "Russian Standard has catapulted into the position of the UK's third -biggest premium vodka within a year of its launch. We are committed to building on this throughout the year."
