Gallo took its
on-trade over-ice serve for rosé wine into the take-home market, with special packs containing bottles of White Grenache or White Zinfandel, a glass and an ice tray. Self-seal ice cube bags were also given away on bottles in a £2.5 million push for the pink wines. A White Grenache wine box in the shape of a handbag was sold through Tesco, and Gallo Family Vineyards had a new best mate in the form of Gordon Ramsay and sponsorship of his F-Word TV programme. A Pinot Grigio was added to the Family Vineyards range.
