Thwaites offers choice online

28 August, 2008

Daniel Thwaites has teamed up with online wine club Warehouse Wines to sell its beers online through its own website, thwaites.co.uk.

Visitors to the site can click through to the Beer Club of Britain to buy 12 or 24-bottle cases of Thwaites's top-performing beers Double Century, Flying Shuttle, Lancaster Bomber, Liberation Ale and Thoroughbred Gold for £22.99 or £43.99 respectively.

Brands marketing manager Lee Williams said: "Daniel Thwaites has a huge following in the north of England, but we are seeing more and more awareness of our beers across the country .

"We field

correspondence from Lancashire 'ex-pats' on a regular basis, the majority of them

craving Thwaites beers and asking

how

to get hold of them.

"The site will allow customers to pick their own mixed cases , a range of choice that is very difficult for any offline retailer to offer."

Looking back to look forward

Wine is a liquid time capsule. Drinking older vintages not only recalls the weather conditions and winemaking styles of the past, it encourages us to reflect upon our own histories. Such reminiscence often inclines towards romanticised nostalgia. Especially after the second bottle. But looking back is a great way of learning about the future.
