To enter, retailers must run a South African promotion, with the first 150 independents to contact WOSA receiving a free merchandising kit. The promotion must take place during September or October, after which judges will assess the best initiatives.
Participants will need to explain in 700 words or fewer how they approached their in-store activity. Judges will be looking to recognise the retailer who has gone the extra mile to create an effective promotion.
As well as being able to explore the country themselves, the winner will get to share their experiences with other independents by writing a short piece which will appear in OLN.
