Winerite, originally an independent drinks wholesaler, became part of Palmer & Harvey in 1999 but in recent times the name has been phased out. The Leeds depot has become surplus to requirements following the acquisition this year of Youngs, another wholesaler in the city.
Seventy jobs are affected by the decision to close Winerite.
A P&H spokeswoman said: "The consultation process for the closure of Winerite commenced in April and has now completed. The closure is expected towards the end of September.
"Palmer & Harvey has a wide network of depots across the country and as their customers' needs change, the company is becoming more local and reactive. They stock most alcohol lines at local distribution centres rather than driving it through one central Winerite depot. "
