Shepherd Neame's Spitfire ale is to be sold in a limited -edition, eight-bottle pack around September's Battle of Britain week. The brewer will donate 25p from the sales of each multipack to the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund. The pack is being listed by Morrisons, Asda and Spar.

Magners is sponsoring a UK tour by Irish music acts Sharon Shannon, Mundy and Damien Dempsey. The Magners Irish Sessions tour will start with a gig

in London in September, and then visit Newcastle, Inverness, Ullapool, Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester from November. There will be above-the-line support in specialist music and regional press,

as well as on local radio.

Mexican lager Corona has "taken over" the island of Ibiza and is wooing key clients with luxury trips to the Spanish island, which it has renamed Corona Island. Some 70 distributors and key account customers will be invited on a three-day visit including a stay at the luxury Pacha hotel and VIP entry to the Pacha night club.

English wine: a happy harvest for Christmas

All across England and Wales, vineyards are being harvested. Down winding country lanes come armies of welly-wearing conscripts wielding secateurs and buckets, ready to reap the rewards of our vines. Happily they come, their cheeks ruddy with pride. Half an hour later they’re crawling over muddy clods with lacerated hands, drenched in claggy juice and cold sweat, as if ploughing through an endurance race.
