Latvia joins race for vodka share

08 September, 2008

Latvia is the latest country to enter the crowded vodka category in the UK.

UB Drinks is launching Dannoff with a £3.5 million marketing campaign including radio advertising and retailer support.

The 37.5% abv brand will be sold with a keen £9.99 recommended price point.

National sales director Andy Causer: said: “The launch couldn’t come at a better time, when consumers and retailers alike are feeling the pinch of the credit crunch.

“Dannoff is a sophisticated vodka without the premium price tag, giving retailers an excellent opportunity to increase profitability.

Dannoff is quadruple-distilled at the Latvijas Balzams Distillery in Riga, the Latvian capital.
