Co-op promotes Fairtrade wines

08 September, 2008

The Co-op is planning a big promotional push behind Fairtrade wines, following hot on the heels of last week’s launch of what the retailer claimed was the first Fairtrade sparkling wine on the market.

Up to 20% will be knocked off the prices of 14 wines from Argentina, Chile and South Africa in the promotion from Sept 15 to Oct 5.

The offers include three for £10 deals on Co-op Fairtrade Argentine Bonarda/Shiraz and Torrontes, and Cape Chenin/Colombard and Cinsault/Shiraz.

Fairtrade Argentine Chardonnay/Sauvignon and Chilean Shiraz/Cabernet wine boxes will have £2 off at £13.99.

The Fairtrade deals are part of a range of promotional prices for the retailer which also includes deals on brand names such as Lindemans, Beringer and Torres.
