ASA quashes Cobra poster complaint

A complaint that a poster ad for

Cobra beer is irresponsible ha s been thrown out by the Advertising Standards Authority.

One consumer complained to the watchdog, claiming that the use of cartoon characters in the ad could

appeal to children.

Cobra said it had deliberately selected an adult style of cartoon that would resonate with

its target audience of

25 to 35-year-old males.

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
