Hobgoblin focuses on Halloween

Hobgoblin is declaring itself the “unofficial beer of Halloween” and is launching a marketing blitz to capitalise on what it says has become a key sales period for the ale brand.

Bottles have been given a Halloween theme with a limited-edition label, offering consumers the chance to win a haunted weekend break in the Oxfordshire countryside and a tour of the Wychwood Brewery, now part of Marston’s.

The “lagerboy” advertising has been adapted and features the seasonal strapline: It’s the damned fine flavour that grabs them by the ghoulies.

Hofmeister may need more than the bear essentials to succeed

So, George The Bear is back. It’s hard for some of us oldies to fathom, but there are those under, say, 40 who can’t actually remember Hofmeister and feel the cultural jolt supplied by the return of both the bear and the beer whose marketing campaigns it used to front.
