Bushmills shares history with consumers
Published:  17 October, 2008

Bushmills is celebrating its 400th anniversary by offering consumers a free copy of a commemorative coffee table book which traces the history of the Irish distiller.

Bushmills: 400 Years in the Making is normally sold for £17.99 and celebrates the 400th anniversary of the original licence to distil Irish whiskey given to the Bushmills area in 1608. It will be available free via a neck collar attached to every promotional bottle of Bushmills.

Consumers can receive their free copy by filling out the coupon and Diageo says 20,000 promotional books will be given away.

James Pennefather, whisky brand director at Diageo GB, said: “The promotion will continue to drive awareness of the brand’s unrivalled quality benefiting retailers through increased demand and sales.”

Recently, Bushmills became the first whiskey brand to be featured on currency when the Bank of Ireland published commemorative notes featuring the distillery on its £5, £10 and £20 notes.
