New appointment for Wine Australia

17 October, 2008

Wine Australia is recruiting a director for the UK, Ireland and Europe as part of a reorganisation of its export structure.

A similar position is also being created in North America.

Market development general manager Paul Henry said: "We're a $6 billion

industry and approximately half of this

is generated through export sales. This is an exciting opportunity for two individuals to contribute to the future direction of a dynamic and growing category."

He added: "The new structure will give our export platform a more accountable point of contact between strategy development and market opportunity. This will allow us to capitalise on current - and future - possibilities within these key trading environments."

Wine Australia's UK/Ireland/Europe operations will be based out of Australia House in London.
