The newcomer is a dark chocolate version of Ferrero Rocher. It was sampled by
7 million consumers last Christmas as part of the Ferrero Collection, which also contained Ferrero Garden Coconut.
UK sales director Craig Barker
said: "Rondnoir will help broaden the appeal of dark chocolate and at the
same time offer consumers more ways to give the gift of Ferrero to their loved ones."
The brand will be backed by a £5.5 million TV and press advertising campaign in the run-up to Christmas, including the sponsorship of Channel
4's Desperate Housewives .
Ferrero Collection will be available in three gift pack sizes this Christmas, including a Christmas tree-shaped box.
