Owner Ruth Yates said the y stole no wines with a price tag less than £70 and took CCTV equipment which might have provided vital evidence.
Among the haul was a rare 1985 magnum of Krug, which she says may have aroused suspicions from other traders if offered for sale.
The shop had been fitted with high-specification security devices but the burglars had the equipment to break through two sets of bars on a rear window and to force their way through a security door. Cristal, Dom Pérignon, Vega Sicilia and Opus One wines were also taken.
waiting to hear how much of the loss will be covered by insurance. "I'll never be able to get back what has gone, either because you simply can't buy it any more or because the cost has risen so much since I bought the stock," she said.
She added that security
had been upgraded and CCTV in the other two stores w as now being monitored off site.
