Woodhouse suffered a heart attack while walking in woods near his Dorset home on New Year’s Day. He was 48.
Along with cousin Mark, he was a member of the fifth generation of the Woodhouse family to work in the business, which produces a range of some of the UK’s best-selling bottled beers under the Badger banner.
David Woodhouse had been on the board since 1990 and became managing director in 1998.
Mark Woodhouse said: “We are all devastated at the loss of David but he has left us a fine legacy and one which we are determined to build on to ensure our continued long-term success as an independent family brewer.”
