Draycott, who worked as a Sainsbury's store manager for 13 years, moved to the supermarket’s head office in 2002. During her six-year stint she has been responsible for buying spirits, Champagne, sparkling, fortified, and French wine.
Her new role with First Quench Retailing, formerly the Thresher Group, will involve working alongside a five-strong buying team. She starts on Feb 1.
Draycott told OLN she was “sorry to be leaving” but excited at the prospect of a new challenge.
Bracegirdle will take over Draycott’s buying areas of France, Champagne and sparkling wine.
Bracegirdle's current role will pass to Olimpia Lindgren, who has worked for the retailer for 11 years and passed her WSET Diploma seven years ago. She will cover Spain, Portugal, South America and fortified wine.
