Jackson Estate moves to Gonzalez Byass

15 January, 2009

Marlborough winery Jackson Estate has awarded its UK distribution to Gonzalez Byass UK, the wholly owned subsidiary of the independent Spanish producer.

John Stichbury, founder of Jackson Estate, said: “I am delighted to be working with Gonzalez Byass in the UK market. My family has been farming Jackson Estate for over 150 years, continually striving for better quality, something that Gonzalez Byass, a fifth generation family company, understands well.”

Martin Skelton, managing director of Gonzalez Byass UK, said: “This is a fantastic development for our company.

“We have been steadily developing our still and sparkling wine business in recent years, adding to our successful sherry and brandy brands. Jackson Estate is a perfect fit for our portfolio, representing the best quality wine from Marlborough, and we’re excited about the opportunity to grow the brand.”

Jackson Estate has previously been handled in the UK by HwCg.
