The companyís 2009 price review comes into effect on April 1. It covers all Fullerís brands, including London Pride and ESB, as well as beers produced under the Gales name.
The price increases apply to both on and off-trade customers.
John Roberts, managing director of Fullerís Beer Company, said: ďIn the current economic environment we feel that it is important to do as much as possible to help all of our customers through what is clearly going to be a challenging 12 months.
ďTo demonstrate this commitment we have taken the decision to absorb a large amount of the cost increases we are incurring and pass on a smaller increase to our customers.Ē
Beer was hit by two duty increases in 2008, a year in which beer volumes fell by 1% in the off-trade and 6% in the on-trade, according to Nielsenís year-end figures.
