The Top 100 Vins de Pays Competition was launched by OLN in 2004 and has become one of the most eagerly anticipated wine events of the year.
Chaired by Tim Atkin MW, the competition is judged by a top class panel of judges who last year sampled around 1,500 wines in a blind tasting before arriving at their decisions.
The competition is sponsored by ANIVIT and Inter Oc and is designed to highlight the extraordinary quality and diversity of France’s vins de pays. The winning wines are showcased at the London International Wine Fair.
Domaines Paul Mas is one of hundreds of suppliers which will be submitting entries before the March 1 deadline.
“The competition highlights the true extent of the diversity of vins de pays and we welcome an initiative that rewards excellence in this category,” it said.
“We are always delighted when our efforts are recognised and the judging panel, comprised of top industry experts, serves to add increased weight to these accolades. The Top 100 is seen as the benchmark in the industry for the highest quality vins de pays and we will continue to strive for inclusion in this ranking year after year.”
