Virgin Wines holds first Manchester tasting

17 March, 2009

Virgin Wines is to hold its first tasting in the north west on March 21.

The event takes place in the Exchange Hall, Manchester Central, and is hoped to attract up to 500 wine enthusiasts with more than 100 wines from around the world on taste.

Winemakers, wine buyer Andrew Baker and the Virgin Wines team of personal wine advisers will be on hand to talk customers through the wines and give recommendations.

Managing director Jay Wright said: "We are delighted to be hosting our first tasting event in the north west. Following the enormous success of our national tasting events in London over the past four years, we're rolling out the programme and hope that this event will be the first of many more across the country in the coming months. Tasting events are a great way for us to meet our customers and share our new and favourite wines with them."

Customers can buy tickets online at virginwines.com/tasting1 for £20. Anyone who places an order on the day will get the ticket price off the total price of their order.
